Victorian 15ct Gold Acrostic ‘DEAREST’ Cluster Ring
A gorgeous authentic example of an antique Acrostic ring from the Victorian era.
Central to the design is a flower shaped arrangement of stunning cabochon gemstones, arranged petal style around a single diamond at the centre of the piece. The petals of the flower are each composed of different gemstones, with the idea being that the first initial of each will all spell out a word of affection or endearment as is the case for acrostic pieces of jewellery.
This particular piece consists of the following gemstones ; Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Tourmaline, spelling out the word ‘DEAREST’.
This style of ring is always highly sought after, coveted and admired for it’s rich symbolism and beautiful colour palette of gemstones.
